Logitech G has introduced a new series of simulation racing products as part of its annual Logi PLAY 2024 event. This lineup, named the Racing Series, includes a range of hardware designed to elevate the sim racing experience. The new products feature a wheelbase, quick-release hub, wheel hub, two steering wheels, and a shifter-handbrake combo, targeting both casual and professional sim racers.
A Complete Sim Racing Experience
The centrepiece of the Racing Series is the new PRO DD11 Wheel Base.
Designed to deliver a realistic and immersive racing experience, this wheelbase supports Logitech’s new RS Wheel Hub, which allows for various steering wheel attachments equipped with updated buttons and switches.
The quick-release hub is another highlight, offering compatibility with a wide range of steering wheels used in both simulation and real-world racing.
In collaboration with the renowned Italian brand MOMO, Logitech has unveiled two new premium steering wheels.
These wheels, developed by MOMO, come with advanced features, providing sim racers with the performance and feel of professional racing equipment.
Furthermore, Logitech’s new adapter ensures that existing MOMO racing wheels are fully compatible with the new wheelbase, giving users flexibility in customising their racing setups.
Versatile Shifter and Handbrake Combo
Another exciting addition to the Racing Series is the sequential shifter and handbrake combo.
This versatile device can be easily fine-tuned through Logitech’s G HUB software, allowing users to switch between shifter and handbrake modes seamlessly.
Despite this addition, Logitech has notably decided not to release a dedicated H-pattern shifter, focusing instead on the adaptability and customization options of the new combo.
Notably, Logitech has ensured backward compatibility for its new Racing Series products.
This means existing users can upgrade their current setups with the latest equipment, such as the new steering wheel hub or shifter, without replacing their entire rig.
