Prior to listing her shared Beverly Hills residence with Ben Affleck for sale, reports from early August suggested that Jennifer Lopez was looking for a new place to live in Los Angeles. The singer-actress is reportedly planning to make an aggressive move to purchase a well-known mansion in Los Angeles, even though she may have to fight hard to win the property in the end. This news comes months after she had started her house-hunting journey again.
JLo’s eyes on the Highly sought after $55 million property
JLo is reportedly negotiating to purchase the highly sought-after $55 million Holmby Hills property, Azria Estate, according to a source who spoke with TMZ. The 14-bedroom high-status home, which is situated at 10250 West Sunset Boulevard, has a game room, an in-house theater, a greenhouse, a guest house, and an infinity pool with a sauna. Originally constructed by renowned architect Paul R. Williams, Sidney Sheldon, an Academy Award-winning writer, producer, and novelist, also owned the estate.
The former residence of late BCBG owner Max Azria is a 30,000-square-foot property in Los Angeles. Lopez is aiming to purchase it for between $30 and $39 million, a significant discount to the asking price. The Atlas actress, who is now going through a public divorce from her ex-partner Ben Affleck, is headed to become involved in a bidding war for the highly sought-after LA residence.
Billionaire investor Ron Burkle won the mansion auction with a $30 million bid earlier this year. His destiny is linked to Lubov Azria, the widow of the fashion designer, who has been filing lawsuits since May.
With regard to JL’s interest in the home, insiders close to TMZ revealed that she has taken several tours of the estate and has voiced her appreciation for it with great passion in August. It is alleged that “Jenny from the Block” has contacted both Lubov and Burke in an attempt to eventually get the house registered in her name.
The Beverly Hills Estates’ Branden and Rayni Williams hold the Azria estate’s listing, characterizing the location as a “distinguished estate” which “is the height of elegance and privacy, with a flawless layout perfect for family, staff, and guests.” Furthermore, the Marry Me actress has actually been to the LA home before; it is where she shot her 2024 film Atlas.
Lopez had her eyes on the same property even before the divorce
In addition, Lopez had even made the Holmbly Hills property her target when she and Affleck were looking for a place to call home. They finally decided on the $60 million Beverly Hills property, which they later sold for $8 million more than it had originally cost. Despite Ben and Jen’s tumultuous divorce, there has been little progress on its sale.
This information was released about a week after an insider told PEOPLE that she made a “huge compromise” while buying the mansion, which was purportedly Affleck’s idea, because she didn’t like the “ultra modern” setup of her married residence.
But that’s not all. This information was released shortly after Sean “Diddy” Combs, Lopez’s ex-boyfriend and troubled hip-hop entrepreneur, listed his massive Beverly Hills home nearby for $61.5 million, six months after federal officials raided the property.
