On Aug 9, Walt Disney Studios launched a new full trailer of the movie at the D23 fan event in Anaheim, Calif. Earlier this year, in April a teaser was released, showcasing the glimpse of young Mufasa, all set to the iconic song “Circle of Life”.

“Mufasa” will explore the character’s journey of the mighty king from a young orphaned cub. The film will also delve into his relationship with his brother Taka, who is known to fans as Scar. The movie will feature Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter, along with Timon and Pumbaa.

Walt Disney Studios has always been a powerhouse in the entertainment industry and has been a leading force in creating iconic films with a commitment to storytelling, surreal animation techniques, and memorable characters. Known for its innovative animation, Disney has produced beloved classics like “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “The Lion King,” and “Frozen”, which have resulted in a rich legacy of films that entice audiences of all ages. The new trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King looks incredibly promising, offering a captivating glimpse into the epic story and stunning visuals that await audiences.

The Grammy Duo

The Grammy-winning Mother-daughter duo is set to amaze the viewers with their reel-life bond reflecting the real-life bond as Nala and Kiara. “I thought there was something really lovely about having this mother and daughter get to play together, to work together.” Said Berry Jenkins.

The film will also feature some new faces. Aaron Pierre will voice young Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. will play young Scar, and Tiffany Boone will be Sarabi. Mads Mikkelsen will portray Kiros, Thandiwe Newton will be Eshe, Lennie James will take on the role of Obasi, and Blue Ivy Carter will make her film debut as Kiara.
