The Esports World Cup is going on a thrilling note. The gaming world is creating hype in the sports world. The LEC 2024 Summer Spilt is going on with full excitement. Fnatic has sealed the top three spot after facing setbacks in the tournament. After securing the spot, Noah opened up about his exciting journey, performance, struggle, and many more.

Fnatic Opens Up:

Fnatic has clinched a top-three position in the LEC 2024 Summer Split Playoffs with a decisive 2-0 win over SK Gaming. Following a challenging period of six consecutive losses, which included a 0-2 setback against Team Liquid at the Esports World Cup, Fnatic has rebounded strongly in the Playoffs. They are now focused on maintaining their momentum as they prepare to face G2 Esports in the upper bracket final.

Securing the top three positions is always a delight. He said, “I am feeling good but I said before that we need to win versus G2 Esports. If we can win against G2, I will be even happier.”

While talking about the team’s performance, he said, “We were playing around mid-lane and top lane a lot. I was just chilling and our top, jungle, mid, and support played better than SK. I played well in the team fights too so I am happy with our performance.”

Focusing on Upper Bracket Final and Remarkable Comeback:

His team is all set to face G2 Esports in the upper bracket final. When he was asked to rate the team before stepping into the final match, Noah said, “The most important thing for us to keep performing well. We played very good today. I think our ceiling is better than G2 so if we all play well individually, I think we can win for sure but G2 is the strongest team in EMEA and they are playing very well. We should work harder and focus more to defeat them.”

Mental struggle and setbacks are an obvious part of life including sports. In the MSI 2024, Noah had a forgettable season. After that, Dr. Jonathan Fnatic joined the franchise as the performance coach, and some notable changes are in front of everyone’s eyes.

While talking about him, Noah said, “I think our performance coach is a very good person. He has helped the team a lot but I am still performing quite bad internationally such as Esports World Cup. I need to improve myself and play better internationally. In LEC, I don’t have any problem and I am playing well but I only have problems in international games.”

On Esports World Cup:

While focusing on the failure in the Esports World Cup, he said, “I think Team Liquid played as a team but we didn’t. We were not playing together and trusting each other. I still believe that if we play good and trust each other then we can beat G2 as we are better than them individually.”

When questioned about ongoing issues with team synergy during gameplay, despite having ample time to develop it, he addressed the matter. saying, “This is a problem that comes from scrims. When we are playing good in scrims, we play good on stage. When we play s*** in scrims, we don’t play together and perform well on stage. So I think our performance in scrims is the most important thing for us.”

On the Difference between Korean Tier-Two and EMEA Tier-Two:

He had opportunities to play in the ERLs with Zero Tenacity and in the LCK Academy with KT Rolster Challengers. He noted differences he observed that enable Korean tier-two leagues to foster more young talents compared to their counterparts in EMEA.

He said, “The first thing is that the Korean scene has PC bangs. Due to this, people can easily play games which allows more talented players to develop. Another difference between the ERLs and Korea is that everyone practices a lot in Korea. They play solo Q and scrims as soon as they wake up until they sleep all the time.”

Later he added, “When I came to the ERLs, they didn’t practice a lot. They played scrims and only played solo Q if they wanted to. However, everyone practices a lot more in the LEC which is a bit better.”

Messages for the Fans:

Lastly, Noah addressed the fans and said, “Thank you to all the Fnatic fans. We won six games straight and we lost six games straight. I think it was painful for the Fnatic fans but we are trying to fix it and we have almost figured it out. We still have a few things to improve on. I want the fans to stay with us and keep supporting us. Thank you.”
